The Eastern Chapter of the VSCSW extends you a warm welcome. Our members practice clinical social work from Williamsburg to Chesapeake, West Point to Virginia Beach, and all points in between. Our strength lies in two areas: (1) our collective experience in settings as diverse as private practice, the military, medical and psychiatric hospitals, in-home and community agencies, and schools; and (2) our desire to maintain, and advocate for, the highest standards in our profession. We are committed to providing continuing education units (CEUs) to our members every year. Recent topics have included ethics and technology, the opioid crisis, working with transgender clients, trauma in the age of terrorism, and mindfulness in social work practice. We are a growing chapter and look forward to offering you a supportive community of peers, an opportunity to deepen your social work practice, and the chance to network within a group that consists of MSW students, Social Work supervises, and seasoned clinicians.
